The dynamic duo of Broadway, a.k.a. Tony winners Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, stopped by The View on October 17 to chat about their latest on-stage gig together, Broadway’s It’s Only a Play. We all remember their performances together in The Producers, but where did they first meet? Turns out, they can’t even get their story straight. “Was it the Peace Corps or hot wing night at Hooters? I can’t recall,” Lane jokes. The Terrence McNally play drops a ton of names, including the two Rosies of The View (O’Donnell and Perez). But it’s not always nice things: “We’re mean people and we say mean things about one another,” says Lane. Check out the clips below and catch the mean Lane and Broderick in It’s Only a Play at the Schoenfeld Theatre!
